Larry Gene Goetz

Larry Gene Goetz, 71 of Chaffee passed away at the family home Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born July 11, 1945 in Chaffee to the late Melvin and Bertha Martin Goetz. Larry served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He married Vickie Sue Steffens on June 2, 1973 and she survives of the home. Larry was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg and it's men's club. He also was a member of the American Legion in Jackson and the Chaffee Elks Lodge # 1810. Survivors besides his wife are two sons, Kevin (Kristen) Goetz of Cape Girardeau and Ryan (Michelle) Goetz of Eureka, Missouri; on daughter, Amy (matt) Richter of Jackson; one brother, Bill (Tina) Goetz of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Beckley, Layton, Jake, Riley, Adelynne and Madison. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Steven Goetz. Friends may call after 4:00 pm Sunday, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Parish prayers will be at 6:00 pm Sunday. Funeral mass will be on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg with Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
