Virginia Proffer

Virginia Lee Proffer age, 90, of Chaffee, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

She was born in Chaffee on February 26, 1926 to the late Martin and Regina Ourth Kinder. She married Robert Proffer on September 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1977.

Virginia retired as a tacker for Buckstein Pants Factory in Chaffee then worked at Leeada’s Dept. store in Chaffee. She attended the Church of God in Chaffee.

Survivors include two sons, Joe (Anna) Kinder of Delta, Missouri and Franklin (Theresa) Proffer of Sikeston, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the Chapel with Rev. Alvey Surface officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery.
