Richard Boss

Richard Boss age 70 of Whitewater, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born on July 27, 1946 in Cape Girardeau to the late William Lee and Jewell Gray Boss. He married LaDonna Urhahn on June 30, 1979 and she survives of the home.

Richard was a retired machine operator with Leggett-Platt in Cape Girardeau. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed many hobbies. He liked to hunt and fish. Richard was a skilled wood worker and gifted gardener. He cared for many stray animals that became family

Survivors also include two daughters Veronica (Joe) Biver of Troy, Illinois; Crystal (Steve) Smith of Oran; four grandchildren Lucy Peskar; Teagan Griffith; Kennedy and Spencer Biver.

Many family members helped to care for Richard especially Belinda Webb and Melissa Clang

He was also preceded in death by one brother Gary Boss

Friends may call after 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2016 with Matt Buttrum at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. Missouri Honors will do a full Military Service.

In Lieu of flowers make donations to The Chaffee Nursing Center or Alzheimer’s Association.
