Dorothy Jo Sanders

Dorothy Jo Sanders, 68 of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 29, 1947, in Illmo to Leroy and Irene Dodson Foulk. She married Jerry Houston Sanders on July 3, 1966. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2013. She was a member of Mount Auburn Christian Church in Cape Girardeau. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Charles) Graham of Salem, Missouri, and Melinda Sanders of Marble Hill; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Sanders, on March 21, 1996; a brother and two sisters. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Casey Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
