Evelyn Compas

Evelyn Aline Compas left her earthly dwelling for her eternal home on Aug. 17, 2015. She was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Glenallen, Missouri to Fred and Ruth Aldrich Burns. She married Albert William Compas on June 12, 1948, in Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Albert Compas Jr. of Bunker Hill, Illinois and Ronald Compas of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter, Charlotte McCrory of Benton, Missouri; a sister, Georgia Graham of Benton; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton. Funeral service will be at noon at the chapel with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Gardens cemetery in Morley, Missouri. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, Missouri 63132-3253.
