Billy C. Zimmerman

Billy Charles Zimmerman, 81 of Scott City died Monday, May 4, 2015 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born September 25, 1933 in Illmo, MO to Charles Edward and Edna Hulda Brenneisen Zimmerman. He married Geraldine "Geri" Janet Kohl on January 29, 1960. He was a union pipe fitter. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, Planning and Zoning Committee of Scott City; instrumental on getting Caboose in Scott City and served on Illmo Special Road District. He is survived by his wife, Geri; two sons, Mark (Laura) Zimmerman of Bettendorf, Iowa and Randy Zimmerman of Sheridan, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Trevor, Scott and Ryleigh Zimmerman and a niece, Deborah Crews of Florida. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday at the Eisleben Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and three half brothers. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at the church with Pastor Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Eisleben Ladies Aid or Eisleben Sunday School.
