Virgil "Sporty" Glastetter

Virgil Herman "Sporty" Glastetter, 70 of New Hamburg, MO died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born October 5, 1944 in New Hamburg, MO to Bernard Frank and Anna Louise Westrich Glastetter. He married Sandra Denise Fee in 1990. He was a carpenter and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Curtis Glastetter of Zalma and Eric Glastetter of Chaffee; two daughters, Pam (Rat) Walker of Wappapello and Lauren Glastetter of New Hamburg; two brothers, Melvin (Cecilia) Glastetter and Mike (Debbie) Glastetter both of New Hamburg; a sister, Vickie (Jim) Eftink of Oran; six grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the church with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in New Hamburg.
