Martha Gilpin

Martha Louise Gilpin, 86 of Commerce died Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born September 9, 1928 in Illmo, MO to Claude and Mabel Loftin Sanders. She married Herschel O'Dell Gilpin on September 9, 1948 in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2009. She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Commerce. She is survived by a son, David (Kay) Gilpin of Commerce; two grandchildren, Melinda (Scott) Engelen and Brian (Krissy) Gilpin; three great grandchildren, Addison and Andrew Engelen and Eli Gilpin. She was also preceded in death by a brother, J. C. Sanders. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the chapel with Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, MO. Memorials can be made to St. Paul Methodist Church, PO Box 171, Commerce, MO 63742.
