Grace Catherine Menz

Grace Catherine Menz, 95 of Scott City died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO. She was born September 9, 1919 in Fornfelt, MO to Charles A. and Lavada Harmon Miller. She married Silverius Francis "Spats" Menz on April 24, 1944 in Scott City, MO. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2002. She was a seamstress for Ely Walker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Mary) Menz and William Menz both of Scott City; two grandchildren, Jerry (Tonya) Menz and Leslie (Lane) Gallagher and four great grandchildren, Dylan & Dawson Menz and Nicki & Logan Gallagher. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Menz; three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.
