Helen Umphenour

Helen Umphenour, age 78, of Wappapello, MO passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born on January 10, 1936 in Illmo, MO to the late Toy and Icie Webb Walton. Helen married Barton Umphenour on Feb. 14, 1987 and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2006. She was a retired LPN and worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital and Lucy Lee in Poplar Bluff. Survivors include one son, Carl Davis of Wappapello, MO; one daughter, Janet Tanner of Tonganoxie, KS; one brother, Vern Walton of TX; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, one sister and one brother. Friends may call from 9a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will be at noon at the chapel with Rev. CB Stidham officiating.
