Norbert Peter Kluesner

Norbert Peter Kluesner , 93 of New Hamburg, MO died April 24, 2014 at his home. He was born November 20, 1920 in St. Joseph, TN to John Henry and Elizabeth Reischman Kluesner. He married Arabella Stella Menz on November 27, 1945 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. Norbert was a Farmer and Carpenter. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic church in New Hamburg and St. Joseph's Sodality. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his wife, Arabella; a daughter, Mary Lillian Kluesner of Sikeston; two sons, William (Teri) Kluesner of Altenburg and Norman (Dianna) Kluesner of New Hamburg; two brothers, Alfred Kluesner of Chaffee and Leonard (Edna) Kluesner of New Hamburg; three sisters, Henrietta Dirnberger of New Hamburg, Semina (Lester) Seyer of Oak Ridge and Angela ( Charles ) Klueppel of Benton; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Barbara Ann Dowdy-Trabke; a sister and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg with full military honors.
