Dorothy Ann Crites, 64 of Cape Girardeau formerly of Scott City died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born August 9, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Willard Basil and Sarah Jane Dickerson Crites. Dorothy was a medical transcriptionist for St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 in Scott City. She is survived by a brother, Michael Crites of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Janie Crites and Theresa Echols both of Scott City and a niece, Emily Echols. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Patrick Dale Crites; a sister, Mary Sue Crites; step mother, Mildred Crites; two step sisters, Bobbie Avery and Millie Sue Ancell. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Parish Prayers will be at 6:00 PM . Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, MO with Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso.
