Willliam Dallas Shaffer

William Dallas Shaffer, 85, of Oran, MO passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born in Gideon, MO on December 21, 1927 to the late Claude Dallas and Tressie Mae Petty Shaffer. William was a Cpl. in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He was a retired laborer for Labor Union #1104. Dallas was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Survivors include six nephews, Steve Nesler, Brian Shaffer, Lloyd Shaffer Jr., Jim, Keith and Terry Eftink; six nieces, Debi Oliver, Beverly Mirgeaux, Nancy Morris, Brenda White, Heather Eledge and Jamie Phenix. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 4-8pm, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, MO. Funeral service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, at the chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at 1pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with full military honors presented by the Missouri Honor Guard.
