Sherma Brashear

Sherma Brashear, age 97, of Oran, MO passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born in Morley, MO on July 28, 1916 to the late John Edward Braxton and Minnie Bell Stanley Nation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran, MO. Survivors include one son, Tom (Sharon) Brashear of Oran, MO; one daughter, Sondra (Charles) Trankler of Oran, MO; two daughter-in-laws, Judy Brashear of Bella Vista, AR, Verna Brashear of Scott City, MO; nine grandchildren, Rick, Scott, Tony, Travis and Daniel Brashear, Steven and Brent Trankler, Becky McMillan and Barbie Simpson; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dick and Danny Brashear; one daughter in law, Barbara Brashear; one grandson, Mike Brashear; seven brothers and two sisters. Friends may call after 5PM, Friday, August 23, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, MO. A Graveside service will be held at New Morley Cemetery on Saturday August 24, 2013 at 11AM with Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
