Hop Jackson

Harvey "Hop" Jackson, 90, of Scott City, died Saturday May 18, 2013, at Chaffee Nursing Center. He was born August 1, 1922, in Gray's Point, MO. To William and Dora Mae Henderson Jackson Survivors include two brothers, Orley (Betty) Jackson and Billy Gene Jackson both of Scott City; four sisters, Ruby Tackett of Zalma, Mary Lindner of Kalamazoo. MI, Hazel Jackson of Chicago, IL, and Eula Jackson of Michigan; many nieces and nephews. Hop had lived with Orley and Betty since 1971 and was more of a brother than an uncle to their kids, Ricky, Cathy, Carla, and Carmon. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral services will be at 7:30 pm Monday night at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
