Shelby Jean Hamm

Shelby Jean Hamm, 72, of Chaffee, Mo. and formerly of Commerce, Mo., died Saturday May 4, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born September 8, 1940 in Matthews, Mo., the daughter of William Cape and Gertrude Tressie Duffell McVay. She married William Douglas Hamm on July 5, 1961 at Oak Ridge, Mo. Shelby was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her Husband Doug; a brother Billy McVay of Marble Hill, Mo.; and a sister, Marilyn Jansen of Leopold, Mo. Friends may call Monday from 5 - 8:00 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
