Robert Wayne Dudley

Robert Wayne Dudley, age 59, of Whitewater, passed away Saturday March 16th, 2013, 9:56pm, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau , Mo. He was born in Advance, Mo on May 5, 1953 to the late Bob and Bessie Menz Dudley. Robert married Joanne Rose on June 1, 1974 and she survives. He and his wife were co-owners of G&D Communications in Sikeston for many years. He is a member of the Lake Girardeau Assembly of God where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school. He was a lifetime member of National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club. Robert was saved in 1980 and he became a minister in 1983. Robert enjoyed preaching a spirit filled message about Jesus' love for each and every one of us. For Robert to be a Minister of the Gospel; meant more than preaching an evangelistic message but it meant helping others to know who Jesus is and how they can have a personal relationship with Him. He loved helping people in all sorts of ways. Survivors include his wife, Joanne of the home; two sons, Marty W. Dudley of Sioux City, IA, Chris Dudley of Benton, MO; one daughter, Terra Mays of Malden, MO; one sister, JoAnn (Bobby) Stovall of Chaffee, MO; two grandchildren, one great grandchild and two God-daughters. Friends may call after 4PM,Tuesday March 19, 2013, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A funeral service will be held at 10AM, Wednesday at the chapel with Rev. Mark Claunch officiating with Rev. William Marshall present to have prayer for the family and friends who grieve the loss of this loved one. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel to go towards funeral expenses. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO.
