Harold Wayne Crippen

Harold Wayne Crippen, 76, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Chaffee, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. Wayne was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Fruitland to the late Harold and Melba Martin Crippen. He was a member of Abbey Road Christian Church in Cape Girardeau. On Aug. 9, 1959, he married Rebecca Taylor in Dexter, Mo. Survivors include a son, Steve (Lisa) Crippen of Chaffee; a daughter Michelle (David) Dalton of Grenada, Miss.; and six grandchildren, Dean, Thomas and John Crippen, all of Chaffee, and Brent, Carl and Drew (Rebecca) Dalton, all of Grenada. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Rodger Kiepe officiating. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to Abbey Road Christian Church, First Christian Church in Chaffee or to the Alzheimer's Association.
