William Marshall Woods

William Marshall Woods, 64 of Chaffee died January 2, 2013 at his home. He was born October 25, 1948 in Fornfelt, MO to Levi Arden and Pauline McCormick Woods, Sr. He married Julie Ann Shelton on December 31, 1971 in Chaffee, MO. William was a line technician at Proctor & Gamble. He was a member of VFW Post 3127 in Chaffee and D.A. V. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by his wife; a son, Billy Mac Woods of Chaffee; a daughter, Dawn Ward of Chaffee; a brother, Levi Woods, Jr. of Rockview; a sister, Paula Woods of Scott City; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 1:30 PM on Friday, January 4, 2012 at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM on Friday at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will be with full military honors.
