Alice Louise Swain

Alice Louise Swain, born September 4, 1952, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Maude and Hampton Taylor, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Monday, August 17, 2026 surrounded by her two children.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Iris Slinkard, Laura Brown, and Mary Margaret Taylor; and her brother-in-law, Gerry Slinkard.

On June 27th 1970, Alice married Les Glastetter, and together they had two children, Kim and Aaron.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Kim Glastetter-Brown (Robin Brown); her son, Aaron Glastetter (Pilar Glastetter); and her grandson, Noah Glastetter.

Alice worked for Blair Industries for more than 30 years and later worked for several years at S&W Cabinets. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, and baking cookies for her grandson.

Alice was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience who lived her life without needing recognition or attention. Above all else, she loved being a mother. She was dependable, caring, and always there when her children needed her. Her greatest joy was her family, and she was deeply loved in return.

Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Elara Caring Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion provided to Alice and her family during her final days.

Alice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and a quiet source of strength to those who loved her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 firm 11:00 until 1:00 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will then be conducted at 1:00 PM.
