Anita Baker

Anita Lee Baker, daughter of the late William Bolton I and Martha (Baugh) Bolton. Anita was born on February 9, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana and departed her life on Friday, February 6, 2026 at her residence in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 70 years old.

She retired in 2018 working as an accountant for several business in the Cape Girardeau area such as Limbaugh Concrete, AirGas, and Campbell Mattress. Mrs. Baker enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her granddaughters. Anita B was a friend of Bill W. for over 26 years, helping many people over the years.

On September 20, 1986, she was united in marriage to Brad N. Baker in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Baker preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Brad (Carisa) Baker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Tony Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; four granddaughters, Maranda Limbaugh of St. Louis, Missouri, Taylen Limbaugh of Jackson, Missouri and Caselyn and Maggie Baker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one brother, William (Rhonda) Bolton II of Cape Girardeau; also, by other relatives and a host of friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Bolton; by two sisters Nancy Ponder and Janice Ponder.

Celebration of life service will be conducted on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 11:00 until 1:00 at the Monarch 55 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
