Arion Patterson

Arion Lamar Patterson, age 21, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center  in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born on August 24, 2003, to Brandy Tanner Patterson in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Arion was a 2023 graduate of Scott City High School. He was active on the Scott City Ram’s football team where he wore #17. He had a tremendous love for football, BMX racing and going to car shows and meets.

Survivors include his parents, Brandy (Derek Riegert) Patterson; three brothers: Pete Tanner, Maurice Patterson, Jr., and Daelon Patterson; four sisters: Akaja Patterson, Alexis Patterson, Deandra Patterson, and Shyann Headrick.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lorie Ann Tanner in 2023.

A celebration of Arion’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at the FEMA Building in Scott City, MO.

A private interment will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in honor of Arion to the Scott City Rams football team.
