Paul Rodgers, son of the late Nathan Franklin Rodgers and Louisa LOU Mahon Rodgers was born on June 13, 1933 in Morley, Missouri and departed this life on May 26, 2019 in Huntsville, Alabama at the age of 85 years.
Mr. Rodgers was a Veteran of the United States Air Force for over 21 years, he retired from the Columbus Air Force Base as Fire Chief. Paul was a member of the Gideons International, active in Prison Ministry, and nursing home ministry. He was resident of Madison, Alabama.
On February 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Carole Ann Davies in Reno, Nevada. Mrs. Rodgers preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Jesse Rodgers and wife Linda; two daughters, Elaine Ashcraft and husband Bruce and Alison Raynaud; by nephew, Kenny Rodgers and wife Becky; and by niece, Glenda Hoffmeister also by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Murile, Connie, and Bobby; by four sisters, Elsie, Ethel, Pearl, and Jewell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. at the Morley Baptist Church in Morley, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 A.M. in the Morley Baptist Church with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
