Barbara Susan Beauchamp
Barbara Susan (Amos) Beauchamp, daughter of the late Curtis Ronald Amos and Ann Garnell (Barnes) Amos was born on March 1, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 63 years.
She was a Certified Medication Technician and Rehab Technician for 43 years at the Lutheran Home for The Aged in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and a resident of Scott City. She found immense joy in caring for residents. Barbara formally attended Wesleyan Methodist Church in Scott City and cherished spending time with family and friends. She was known for her love of the color “blue”, colleting angels, listening to Travis Tritt, and was a “Top US Women’s Dart Thrower”. She also enjoyed camping and riding SXS with her family, friends, and siblings.
On June 27, 2009, she was united in marriage to Leo Dean Beauchamp in Scott City, Missouri. Mr. Beauchamp survives of the home in Scott City.
Along with her husband, survivors include two sons, James Crossen, Jr., and Samuel (Jackie) Atchley both of Scott City; one daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Kranawetter of Jackson, Missouri; two step-sons, Robert and Preston Beauchamp both of Jackson; two brothers, Ronnie (Lisa) Amos of Scott City and Carl (Sandy) Amos of Jackson; three sisters, Charlotte King of Scott City, Lisa (Tom) Cobb of Scott City, and Marie (Greg) Kranawetter of Cape Girardeau; by twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, also, by other relatives and friends.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by one son step-son, Donnie Beauchamp.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rennie Phillps officiating. Interment will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
