Barbara Hettenhouser

Barbara Ann Hettenhouser, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at her home in Benton, MO.

On August 26, 1945, in Esther, MO she was born to the late Arthur and Virginia Martin Dix.

Barbara married the love of her life Nicky Allen Hettenhouser on September 8, 1974, in Flat River, MO.

Before her retirement, she had been employed by Drury Hotels as a night auditor.

Survivors include her husband Nicky of the home; two brothers: Ray Dix of Festus, MO and David Dix of Desloge, MO, and one sister Dianna Kluesner of New Hamburg, MO.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton, MO from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Dennis Lowe of Unity Baptist Church will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Unity Baptist Church.
