Barbara Skaggs

Barbara A. “Barb” Skaggs, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

On September 5,1952 in Inez, KY, she was born to the late Clifford and Rosetta Ferguson Mattox.

Barb married Ronnie Skaggs in Phoenix AZ, he survives of the home in Scott City, MO.

She had been a house keeper for the Chaffe Nursing Center before her retirement.

She is survived by her husband Ronnie; two sons: Ronald Paul & Angel Skaggs of Cape Girardeau, MO and Thurman Lee Skaggs of Scott City, MO; one daughter, Tonya Lynn Jude of Puxico, MO; one brother Michael Mattox of Phoenix, AZ; four sisters, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There are no public services scheduled at this time.
