Benny Dale Cook

Benny Dale Cook, son to the late Benjamin David and Violet Kirby Cook was born on August 15, 1938 in Bell City, Missouri and departed this life on June 15, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 86 years.

He was a supervisor for Oran Hat Factory, then worked for Havco Wood Products until his retirement.

Benny married Vera Mae Menz on May 31, 1958 in Oran, Missouri and she survives of the home in Oran.

Besides his wife Vera, he is survived by a son, Jeff Cook of Oran; a daughter, Carla (Mike) Lee of Chaffee; five grandchildren, Ashton Lee, Michael Lee, Ryan Cook, J.D. Cook and Ben Cook; four sisters; Sue Webb of Morley, Missouri; Shelia Henson of Ozark, Missouri; Terrye Mitchell and Louise Coatney both of Sikeston, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Whittley, Jr. and one sister, Gene Emerson.

Private family visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Graveside service will then be conducted at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
