Charles Lee Crowden

Charles Lee Crowden, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

On December 13, 1932 in Lamar, AR he was born to the late John and Mildred Brown Crowden.

Charles served his country in the United States Army.

He married the love of his life, Edna, on December 3, 1955 in Arkansas.

Before retirement, Charles was a diesel mechanic for Cooney Equipment.

Charles was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of the Randles Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two sons: Chuck and Kim Crowden of Jackson, MO, Jim and Karla Crowden of Jackson, MO; two daughters: Tammy and Sam Below of Delta, MO, Amy and Bryant Parks of Jackson, MO; two brothers: Gradon and Randy Davis both of Chaffee, MO; four sisters: Glenda Blue of Chaffee, MO, Doris Parker Crader of Chaffee, MO, Norma Parker of Sikeston, MO, and Debbie Cook of Chaffee, MO; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents John and Mildred and his loving wife Edna, Charles was also preceded in death by his step father Gradon Davis; one grandson, Jason Holweg; one great grandson Fisher Langston Taylor; and one great great grandchild Raylin Nance.

Visitation will be held at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Leaman Sharrel, Pastor of Randles Baptist Church officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Hunter Crowden, Dylan Kohler, Todd Crowden, Tim Crowden, Kyle Borneman, Nate Crowden.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Hanlon

Interment will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO with full military rights.

In lieu of Flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Charles honor to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, MO, or the Randles Baptist Church in Randles, MO.
