Dallas Edward Westrich, son of Edward Westrich and Kathleen (Burford) Westrich was born on September 14, 1956 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at his residence in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 69 years.
His agricultural roots began with being born into a farming family in New Hamburg, working beside his father at a young age, quickly able to work independently. After graduating from Thomas W. Kelly High School in 1974, he got his pilot’s license flying out of Cape Girardeau and Sikeston Airport. He achieved a level of second-degree Black Belt and became a karate instructor. He served as a policeman for the Sikeston Department of Public Safety and later spent many years with Yield Plus liquid fertilizer company in Scott City, Missouri. Mr. Westrich was the sole employee for the company when it was established where he was innovative in creating and installing the initial valve and storage system. He also started his own lawncare business with his son, called P&D Lawncare.
Mr. Westrich never met a stranger and was always eager to carry on a conversation with everyone. He was often found sharing the teachings in the Bible and was a true believer in Jesus Christ.
He was married to Rhonda Cunningham in 1988, who preceded him in death.
Along with his parents, survivors include two sons, Ben (Natalie) Westrich of Arizona and Phillip Westrich of Missouri; one brother, Steven (Amy) Westrich of Illinois; four sisters, Jennifer (Mike) Dunaway of South Carolina, Lisa (John) Sanders of Alabama, Sheila (Kenneth) Holdener of Cape Girardeau and Brenda (Dennis) Ressel of Kelso; one grandson, Karsen; and also, a host of friends and family.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Micheal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and 8:00 to 9:30 AM Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Saint Lawrence Parrish Center in New Hamburg. Eucharistic Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Belken officiating. Interment will follow in the Saint Lawrence Cemetery.
