Deborah Ann Gill

Deborah Gill, daughter of the late Alvin Held and Vera (McGee) Held was born on November 1, 1953 in Scott City, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, November 7, 2025 at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 72 years.

She was of the Baptist Faith, Homemaker, and a former resident of Oran, Missouri.

On October 16, 1976 she was united in marriage to Brian Keith Gill at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Gill preceded her in death on June 18, 2020.

Survivors include one son, Brandon (Katherine) Gill of Fenton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jamaal Gill, Brendan Gill, Lexi Gill, Vera Gill, Wyatt Gill, and Emma Dickerson; three great-grandchildren, Presleigh Gill, Mia Gill, and Addie Gill; two sisters, Sharon (Mark) Hillemann of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Donna (Ronnie) Carr of Oran, Missouri; two brothers, Robert (Arlene) Held of Festus, Missouri and Fred (Tracy) Held of Doniphan, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Andrew Gill; two great-grandchildren, Brooks and Alan Dickerson; one brother, Thomas Held; by four sisters, Betty Miller, Virginia O’Brien, Deloras Morrill, and Dorothy Ingvalson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral services will then be conducted at 12:00 noon with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri.
