Delmer Paul Mcclain

Delmer Paul McClain, 91, of Chaffee passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Southeast Missouri hospital.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1927 in Puxico, Missouri to the late William and Mandy Cook McClain. He married Juanita Jean Haney on Sept. 25, 1946 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 2009.

He was a retired maintenance man with Caterpillar in Joliet, Illinois. He was a member of Greater Vision Pentecostal Church in Chaffee. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1945-1949.

He is survived by two sons, Donald (Terri) McClain of Chaffee; Mitchell (Annette) McClain of Wilmington, Illinois; two daughters, Dianna McClain and Sharon (John) Fioranelli both of Chaffee; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jo Ann Dennison and Peggy Barlow.

Friends may call after 11:00 am until time of service on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm at Chapel with Rev. Robert Poe officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery near Arbor, Missouri.
