Donald Hileman

Don Eugene Hileman, son of the late Ray Hileman and Blanche (Dillon) Hileman was born on December 8, 1939 in Jonesboro, Illinois and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the age of 86 years.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army, Heavy Equipment Operator for Union #318 for 25 years and then drove over the road for ABF Trucking for 11 years. Don was a member of the McClure Baptist Church and a resident of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois.

On February 22, 1958 he was united in marriage to Shelvy Jean Benefield in Anna, Illinois. Mrs. Hileman survives.

Along with his wife, Shelvy Hileman; survivors include one son, Steve Hileman of McClure, Illinois; three grandchildren, Chad Hileman, Heather (Steven Jarvis) Hileman, and Morgan (Jeff) Gates; one brother, Dick Hileman of Gardner, Illinois; one sister, Mary “Murk” Cripps of Jonesboro, Illinois; also, by other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kerry Lynn Hileman; brother, Dan Hileman and by one sister, Tut Moore.

Celebration of life will be conducted at a later date. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
