Donald "Don" Rainey, Jr.

Don Rainey, Jr., son of the late Donald Rainey, Sr. and Wilma Jean Rainey was born on January 5, 1958 in California and departed his life on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 68 years.

He was a former Cab Driver for Nip Kelly out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri for 15 years and later Cape County Transit. Don enjoyed having Bar B Ques and spending time with family and friends.

On January 6, 2000 he was united in marriage to Ladonna Quertermous in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mrs. Rainey survives of the home in Benton.

Along with his wife, survivors include four daughters, Jessic Applewhite of Illinois, Bethany (Jordan) Rodgers of Chaffee, Ashley Rodgers of Sikeston, and Amber Rodgers of Chaffee; nine grandchildren, Damion and Lucas Applewhite, Chevy Tackett, Nike, Quincy, Karter, and Lili’ Ana Rose Tice, James III., and Aiyana Blue; siblings ; also, by other family and friends.
