Dorothy, affectionately known to family and friends as Dotty, was a quiet person with a big laugh. She was an avid reader, reading everything she could get her hands on, especially mysteries, action, adventure, suspense, drama and historical fiction. She loved crossword puzzles and word searches, and was known to spend many hours putting together puzzles. The long winter days were spent playing board games with family, her favorite of which was Monopoly. She enjoyed music, and listened to a variety of it over the years, preferring music by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Frankie Valli.
