Dorothy Leene Paxton

Dorothy Leene Paxton born on February 17, 1931, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the age of 88 years.

Mrs. Paxton never met a stranger; she was the best cook in the world. She was loved by so many and loved everyone, she spent her whole life loving going to church, living for God, and raising seven children. Dorothy set very best example for us, and taught us all of the important life lessons. She will be very missed by so many especially her large family that she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mela Fisk; one daughter Peggy Ann Paxton; and all five of her siblings.

She is survived by four daughters and two sons, Linda McCoy, Donna Graham, Deborah Williams, William (Bill) Paxton, Elizabeth Smith, and Stephen Paxton. Also, 17 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the The Sanctuary of Southeast Missouri in Sikeston, Missouri. A Celebration of life and homecoming will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Sanctuary of Southeast Missouri in Sikeston with Rev. Jay Teague officiating. Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
