Esther Taylor (Friday Morgan)

Esther Taylor (Friday Morgan), daughter of the late Bernard Fortinberry and Agnes (Gootee) Fortinberry was born on September 17, 1944 in Earle, Arkansas and departed her life on Friday, March 6, 2026 at her home in Oran, Missouri at the age of 81 years.

She worked in construction as a professional Painter for several years and later in her life at Crossroads Home Health Care in Sikeston.

Survivors include three sons, Morris Ray (Jenifer) Taylor of Hernando, Mississippi, Steven Morgan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Charles Thomas Morgan of Benton, Missouri; four daughters, Martha Jane Dollar of Marion, Arkansas, Jacqueline Ruth Tomlinson of Port Allen, Louisiana, Renae Jean Morgan of Scott City, and Lena Jaye Morgan of Oran, Missouri; two sisters, Ruby Roberson and Ethel Alewine both of Mississippi; twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also, by a host of family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Celebration of life service will be conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 11:00 until 1:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran with Pastor Doug Sikes.
