George P. Glasscock

George Price Glasscock, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Jackson, MO.

On October 23, 1936, in Oran, MO, he was born to the late Theodore Douglas and Irmina Glaus Glasscock.

George was a veteran of the United States Navy. After his time in the Navy, he worked for the railroad as a dispatcher for forty-two years, ending his career with P&L Railroad out of Paducah, KY.

He was an avid golfer, loved to dance and sing karaoke. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Oran, MO.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Glasscock of Oran, MO; one brother, Theodore “Teddy” Glasscock of Dallas, TX; his  love of his life for forty years,  Linda Diane Kelpe of Scott City, MO; one grandchild, and three great grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Mitch and Ken Glasscock; two sisters: Margaret Niswonger and Ida Seyer.

There are no public services scheduled at this time.

The family will hold a memorial mass for George at a later date.
