Georgia Ikerman

Georgia Mae Ikerman, 79 of Benton, Missouri died Saturday, January 12, 2109 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO. She was born February 26, 1939 in Cape Girardeau to Joseph August and Mary Ida Winkler Kirn. She married John “Delbert” Ikerman on August 23, 1958 in Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2012.
Georgia was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. She graduated from Benton High School and attended Cosmetology School. She had a beauty shop in Illmo in the 70’s. When she moved to Benton she continued to work out of her home until her health forced her to retire. She then started quilting by hand and produced many beautiful quilts. She loved to travel and visit the casino in Tunica.
She is survived by a son, Kevin Ikerman of Benton; a daughter, Paula (Russ) Little of Chaffee; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Sexton and two sisters, Dorothy and Mildred.
As requested there will be no service and the burial was private.
