Georgia Ann Leible, 81, of Kelso passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born Jan. 1, 1945 in Scott City, Missouri.
She and the late George Leible were married on Oct. 3, 1964 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. They were married 45 years before he passed away in Feb. 2009. While living on the Leible Family Farm, they raised four children. While their children were young, they loved attending all their different ball games.
Later when the grandchildren came along, Georgia would always call for copies of the ball schedules or dance recitals. She would be there an hour before anything stared. The holidays were filled with homemade dumpling’s, corn from the spring garden and lots of desserts. At Christmas, you could always find large batches of chocolate chip cookies, homemade Reese’s pieces and molasses cookies under the tree. On the first Christmas, the future spouses, whether a future daughter or son-in-law or grandchild’s spouse attended, she always included them. She had a small gift under the tree with their name on it.
Survivors include three children, Danny (Dwana) Leible, Tom (Teresa) Leible, Mike (Beth) Leible; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband George; a daughter, Cheri Leible Trickey; a son-in-law, Dennis Trickey and four brothers.
The Leible Family would like to sincerely thank the caring and professional staff at St. Francis Medical Center, all the Lutheran Home employees that cared for her during her years as a resident. A special Thank You to Ms. Cynthia, her roommate. It was your kind heart, honesty and watchfulness over Georgia, we are so grateful for.
