Gracie Dennis

Gracie Dennis, daughter of the late Cecil Bierschwal and Marjorie (Webb) Bierschwal was born on August 9, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Monday, September 21, 2026 in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 89 years.

She was a former employee for the Heisserer family as a retail clerk for several years and a homemaker. Mrs. Dennis enjoyed life as a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

On January 13, 1962 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Dennis. Mr. Dennis preceded her in death on November 24, 2016.

Survivors include three sons, Curtis (Vicki) Caldwell of Morley, Pete (Carol) Dennis of Oran, and Ricky (Kim) Dennis of New Hamburg, Missouri; two daughters, Cindy (Gary) Shaffer of Oran and Robin Emerson of Benton; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Bierschwal of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Bonnie Macke of Jackson, Missouri; also, by a host of family and friends.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 11:00 until 1:00 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral service will then be conducted at 1:00PM in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
