Gregory Eftink

Gregory Denis Eftink, son of the late Albert Eftink and Martha (Klipfel) Eftink was born on January 26, 1960 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Monday, September 7, 2026 at his residence in Kelso, Missouri at the age of 66 years.

He was a self-employed farmer and member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

On July 31, 1993 he was united in marriage to Shirley Essner in Kelso, Missouri. Mrs. Eftink survives of the home in Kelso.

Along with his wife, survivors include one son, Brian (Valarie) Hulshof of Kelso and Michelle (Ryan) Garnett of Kelso; eight grandchildren, Sophie Garnett, Maggie Garnett, Graedon Garnett, Maya Garnett, Henry Hulshof, Nora Hulshof, Cora Hulshof, and Heidi Hulshof; two brothers, Jerome and David Eftink; four sisters, Marti Obermann, Sarah Ross, Clara Essner, and Betty Eftink; also, by a host of family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Eftink and one sister, Pat Brase.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 4:30 until 7:00 PM with Parish Prayers held at 6:30 PM in St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Father Tomasz Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
