Helen Kluesner

Aug 13, 1936 — Nov 1, 2026

Scott City

Helen Ann Kluesner, 90 of Kelso ended her journey as a beloved wife and mother on earth and began her journey with our Lord in heaven, Sunday, November 1, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home with the care and love that she deserved. Three days before she would join the love of her life, she asked for their anniversary picture to be at her bedside. She pointed to the heavens and said, "Sit me up, I want to go to Dad". Her wishes were honored until she took her last breath.

She was born August 13, 1936 in Scott City, Missouri to Theon and Ella (LeDure) Schlosser.

On April 20, 1955 she was joined in marriage to Buster Kluesner, many years of love and memories were made even after his passing in 2013.

In Helens working years, she was first a mom to eight children. She held various jobs throughout her life with being the BEST baker of sweet rolls and coconut cream pies at Wimpy’s restaurant in Cape. She was one to never use a recipe and no one can copy her talent. Many requests from friends, family, and strangers were made for her coconut cream pies and sweet rolls. She also worked at Schlosser Drive Inn, Illmo Variety Store, for her brother Jr. There was Superior Electric, Del-Farms, and Care-A-Lot daycare. She was also a custodian alongside her husband and best friend for St. Augustine School where she met many friends and students. She was a member of St. Anns Sodality in Kelso, Missouri. Helen carried on her mother’s tradition of providing food for deceased loved ones and friends in their time of joy and in mourning.

In her last 2 years of life, she was introduced to the most loving woman of God, Dorothy. Though a rocky start of caring, they became best friends and partners in daily outings. These included many trips to the Beautician, Kelso Kwik Stop, shopping, eating, and so on. They were partners at many family events. Their most special time were the visits to the cemetery to go see what Buster was up to. Because of her love and devotion to her faith a Bible Study-Supper was held every Sunday in which she looked forward to. She was also introduced to Legacy Hospice who alongside Dorothy gave her the best care and love in her last days here on earth.

Survivors include eight children, Wanda (Henry) Brown, Dale (Rebecca) Kluesner, Charlene (Charlie) Miller, Donna (Gary) Dougherty, Kenny (Lori Little) Kluesner, Kevin Kluesner, Dewayne (Eileen) Kluesner, and Todd (Jennifer) Kluesner; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren with two expecting, and three great-great-grandchildren; by four sisters, Doris (Danny) Moore, Diana Judd, Mary Schlosser, and Juanita (Jack) Dannenmueller; two brothers, Dale (Gail LeDure) and Rick Schlosser.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
