James Landgraf

James Arthur Landgraf, 84 of Scott City died Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Country Place in Scott City. He was born August 20, 1936 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Arthur Ernest and Marie Bertha Eifert Landgraf.

He became a Christian at his baptism on September 2, 1936. He graduated from Cape Central High School on May 27, 1954 and graduated from Oklahoma State University Technical School in 1957. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1961 and served honorably in Germany during the construction of the Berlin Wall.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator/mechanic in the mining field of Western Australia. He returned to the United States in 1992 and resided in Morris Oklahoma and Scott City.

Jim is survived by a sister Lida Mueller of Brenham, Texas. He will be missed by two nephews, Jeff Mueller and family of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and Tom Mueller and family of Katy, Texas.

He was a kind and gentle man, after greeting someone he would say, “Tell me something new”; What’s going on in the world. He loved Australia and longed to return there

Graveside service will at 11:00 am on Friday at the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with Rev. Douglas Breite officiating and full military honors.
