Jared Michael Cossey Gruber

Jared Michael Cossey Gruber, age 43 of Chaffee, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born on August 26, 1982 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to the late James Cossey and Lesa Kay Turnage Gruber.

Jared worked in construction the majority of his work life. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his mother, Lesa; half-brother, Adam Cossey of Caruthersville, Missouri.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a step-father, John Gruber; a half-brother, Patrick Cossey and a half-sister, April Cossey.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
