Jim Bollinger, son of the late Ancle W. Bollinger and Helen Estelle (Jones) Bollinger was born on December 2, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Monday, February 16, 2026 in Benton, Missouri at the age of 83 years.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a resident of Scott City, Missouri. Jim was retired from the Scott City Water Department and had various jobs in Scott and Cape County areas.

On November 26, 1969 he was united in marriage to Dianna Lee Holmes in Scott City, Missouri. Mrs. Bollinger preceded him in death on April 11, 2003.

Survivors include one son, Derek (Jennifer) Bollinger of Scott City; three brothers, Fred (Anna) Bollinger of Scott City, David (Debra) Bollinger of Jackson, and Leroy (Sandy) Bollinger of Chaffee; two sisters, LaDonna Bollinger of Benton and Joyce McCullough of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Lance, Lauren, Xavier, Clayton, Brayden, Rylan, Ezra, and Isaac; also, by other relatives and friends.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Bollinger; two brothers-in-law, Dan Bollinger and Jim McCullough.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, February, 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with Pastor Laurie White officiating.
