Julia Ann Cobb

Judy Cobb, daughter of the late Veda Dysinger Bond was born on June 1, 1942 in Delta, Missouri and departed her life peacefully surrounded by her remaining sons, sister, and grandchildren on August 1, 2025 at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 83 years.

On September 26, 1958 she was united in marriage to Lester Cobb in Jackson, Missouri. Mr. Cobb preceded her in death on June 10, 1990.

A few years later she formed home with Ben Martin and they were together until his death on June 21, 2014.

Judy worked at the Chaffee High School for many years forming relationships with hundreds of students, teachers, and other staff member that lasted a lifetime. While she had other jobs, that’s the job that really defined her adult life. She was a member of the Chaffee First Baptist Church and a resident of Chaffee.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Cobb, Donald (Teresa) Cobb, and Ronald Cobb; one sister, Janet Bond; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also, by a host of relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Michael Cobb in 1964, Richard Cobb in 2002, and recently by Harold Cobb in 2023; two brothers, Jack and Jerry Bond; two sisters, Betty (Elizabeth) Hanger and Delilah Bond.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Rev. Otis Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance, Missouri.
