Karla Pugh

Karla Mae Pugh, daughter of the late George Washington Moss and Alpha Leore (Chastain) Moss was born on May 11, 1936 in Mill Springs, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, October 30, 2026 at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 90 years.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Edward Pugh on August 29, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2019.

She was a former Administrative Assistant at Superior Electric and a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City. She was an Avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan and a resident of Scott City.

Survivors include one son, Henry Pugh of Waveland, Mississippi; along with a host of family and friends.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 11:00 until 1:00 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00PM with Rev. Jeremy Sells officiating. Interment will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
