Larry David Uhrhan, son of the late Albert Uhrhan Jr. and Evelyn Blankenship Uhrhan was born on March 2, 1951 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau at the age of 74 years.

He learned his trade as a Diesel Mechanic working for Sam Tanksley Trucking in Cape Girardeau. Larry went on to become manager of Continental Divide NM , and later working for Cape Tractor Trailer, Ohio Pacific Express Trucking Company where he also was a shop manager. Mr. Uhrhan retired from Missouri Great Dane Trailer in 2015. He continued to stay busy doing odd jobs and shuttled trailers a short time for a local trucking company. Larry loved playing with his grandkids and cooking for family and friends. He was always up for a challenging game of horseshoes, enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping. Larry enjoyed traveling and visiting his cousin Houston and Mary in Kansas.

On May 23, 1969 he was united in marriage to Linda M. Dumey in Scott City. Mrs. Uhrhan survives of the home in Chaffee.

Along with his wife, survivors include one son, Michael (Stephanie) Uhrhan of Chaffee; daughter, Amy Lynne Watkins of Cape Girardeau; sister, Betty McFall of Cape Girardeau; brother, Wesley (Sharon) Uhrahn of Scott City; three grandchildren, Amber Watkins, Austin (Leah) Uhrhan, and Eryn Uhrhan; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Adalyn, Caleb, Cayden, and Aubrey; his little dog Stella; also, by other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Uhrhan and one sister, Barbara Coomer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 11:00 until 1:00 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will then be conducted at 1:00 with Pastor Rennie Phillips officiating.
