Leonard Stanton, Jr.

Leonard Stanton, Jr., son of the late Leonard F. Stanton, Sr. and Shirley (Franklin) Stanton was born on October 14, 1964 in Rockford, Illinois and departed his life on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 61 years.

Mr. Stanton was a former Truck Driver for MTI Carriers in Sikeston, Missouri and a resident of Oran, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Linda Richardson on October 22, 2015 in Jackson, Missouri. Mrs. Stanton survives of the home in Oran.

Along with his wife, survivors include two sons, Aaron and Trever Stanton both of Jackson; three daughters, Celeste Stanton of Cape Girardeau, Melissa Hensley of Sikeston, and Goldie Beaman of Oran; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Stanton and Melvin Stanton; also, by a host of relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah C. Yates of Rockford, IL: one brother, Marvin Stanton; four sisters, Helen, Dorothy, Mary and Glenda Stanton.

Celebration of life will be conducted at a later date. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels assisting with arrangements.
