Linda Walton

Linda Sue Walton, 61, of Scott City, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born March 18, 1965, to John Gilkey and Doris Cooper Thorne in Kansas City, KS. She was married to Daniel Loveless who preceded her in death. She and Gary Walton were married for twenty-three years until her passing. He survives of the home.

Linda was a nurse for over thirty years. A passion she shared with her daughters. Her love was for her family and spending time with them, especially her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. She loved her babies.

Loving survivors include her husband; three daughters, Stephanie Sansoucie of Villa Ridge, IL, Crystal (Jayson) Grigsby of Sikeston, and Danielle (Jason) Henderson of Mounds, IL; two stepsons, Travis Walton of Scott City, and Dustin Walton of Jackson; a step-daughter, Danielle Walton of Scott City; a brother, Kevin Cooper of New Madrid; and two sisters, Denise Addari and Laura Smith, both of New Jersey; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
